No More Electricity For The Crypto Miners In Iran

It seems that the process of crypto-mining faces several difficulties in Iran, after the electricity company “Tavanir” announced the separation of electricity for all those who make Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

According to a report published in Iran’s IFP, an official source said that the process of mining Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is illegal within the country.

He added that electricity consumption in Iran last month rose by 7 percent year-on-year and said that the mining of BTC and other coins was a major cause of this rise.

It should be noted that the Deputy Minister of Energy in the country demanded earlier to raise electricity support for both digital and returning BTC , where the government pays about $ billion annually as a support to reduce energy costs.
