The Philippine Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MCIT) has announced a new partnership with Monsoon , a US-based company.
The partnership aims to apply the technology of the Philippines to facilitate business and cybersecurity in the country.
The memorandum of understanding was signed to identify cooperative efforts to promote capacity development within the country and to build institutions capable of applying the technology of Blockchain on the ground.

The MoU noted that Monsoon will provide advice and socio-economic analysis and advice on the effective use of blockchain technology.
The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of the Philippines will assist Monsoon in disseminating information on the technology and building the necessary technology.
The Philippines hopes the partnership will help directly address the country’s issues of facilitating business and cybersecurity.
