Huawei’s New Operating System OS Hongmeng Faces A Lot Of Challenges

With the move of Google and the Android operating system towards Huawei has faced a lot of challenges so far, the most important is to replace the operating system from the Android system to another system of its own in a maximum of 90 days and it seems that Huawei has been working on this for a period of time since Its relationship with the United States began to strain and now the company has announced its own operating system which is called Hongmeng.
Much has not yet been revealed about Hongmeng because it is still in the midst of development, but Huawei Central has some information on what the new operating system can offer, but it will also face many challenges.
Earlier in the day, Huawei Central reportedThat the new operating system Huawei will allow all Android applications now confirmed by an appropriate source and Huawei Yu-Chengdong, CEO of Huawei’s consumer business business, confirmed the same.
Instead of using a separate structure, Huawei is likely to come up with a “reciprocal approach” that will be compatible with most current Android design styles, making it much easier to process.

According to the source said Hong Mina:

“This will enable developers to redevelop the application so that it can work fluently in a stable environment but it will be another major hurdle for this operating system to be released at an early stage, but the system environment will continue to make progress, and this will be different. “

One of the many things that Huawei users may face is whether they can access popular Google Apps, especially the Play Store.
discerned that Huawei already has its own applications store for mobile and Huawei Honor smart as the “Application Gallery” and that the company in developing its own version of the Google Play store, which unfortunately have been suspended because of the recent ban used in the United States stage.
According to Bloomberg, Huawei told its partners that by the end of 2018, it will have 50 million Europeans using their own app store instead of the Google store. The company has also asked mobile operators in Europe to deploy this new app store more.
Since it is still in development, it still has many challenges to deal with, according to an internal source revealed by Huawei Central,

The most challenging problem for HongMing is to create its basic ecosystem. If the company leaves Linux + Java frameworks for Android and immediately adopts a new system architecture, it will make Hongmeng incompatible with current Android-based applications

With the suspension of the development of their own game store, the efforts to make the process for Huawei users to move to their new operating system as smoothly as possible will not be the same for the company.
Ryan Wallen, deputy director of the Center for Law and Technology at the University of Hong Kong, said building an operating system is difficult to do well and to do it successfully.

He told AFP:

Just look at players like Nokia, BlackBerry and Microsoft who have all failed in similar endeavors recently

Adding that Huawei will have to deal with a “competitive disadvantage” because its competitors will provide basic Android services.

Earlier this year, Microsoft pulled the plug on its Windows Phone operating system, and the Samsung Tizen is barely known compared to Android and Apple’s iOS, which runs iPhones and iPads.
Huawei is known to be a large telecommunications company, so it must have its own core technology in the end, said Wong Kam Phi, a professor at the Chinese University in Hong Kong. Huawei
seems to have its own system, but they are not ready for production yet, it would have been better if it had been two to three years before the company could succeed, but it is happening now so they only have to speed up.

Please note, that is not a bit of financial advice nor the WhaleToBe team’s view
